Fabio Santeramo joins the World’s Top 2% Scientists list of Stanford University

Marie Curie Fellow and part-time Assistant Professor at the Robert Schuman Centre, Fabio G. Santeramo, has been included in the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List 2024, recognising the impact of his research in agricultural economics and trade.

Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists list recognises the leading researchers across a broad range of scientific fields. Compiled with Scopus data from Elsevier, the ranking identifies scholars with the most significant research impact through a set of metrics like the h-index, co-authorship, and citation counts. Scientists are classified into 22 broad fields and 176 subfields, and the final list includes only those who rank in the top 2% of their subfield. It is updated yearly and provides a transparent view of long-term and recent research impact.

Fabio G. Santeramo is an empirical trade and agricultural economist. His research primarily focuses on policies and markets related to agriculture, food, and natural resources. Santeramo’s work addresses critical challenges at the intersection of agriculture and climate change, particularly examining the impact of climate change on global food production and trade. He regularly publishes in top-field journals, including Food Policy, Energy Policy, Journal of Agricultural Economics, and Health Policy.
