The recently signed agreement contributes to enhancing the tight relationships that the EUI has established with EU Institutions in Brussels and in EU Member States.
The EUI and Eurofound will work together to bring the existing cooperation related to research on European social policies and welfare to a next level, particularly in consideration of latest social trends related to the impact of the pandemic on EU citizens. New areas of common interest will be: employment, working and living conditions, as well as transnational governance.
Both parties will collaborate on a series of joint activities, including research, high-level policy dialogues, workshops and executive trainings, staff and study visits.
The two institutions may also develop a research 'capstone project', involving researchers and master students at the EUI.
Eurofound is a tripartite Agency of the European Union whose aim is to provide the EU Institutions and bodies, Member States and social partners with support in shaping and implementing policies concerning living and working conditions, devising employment policies and promoting dialogue between management and labour.
