Department of Law Yussef Al Tamimi awarded 2022 Antonio Cassese Prize The Department of Law is pleased to announce that Yussef Al Tamimi has received the Antonio Cassese Prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis in International Law. 02 June 2022 | Award Print Share on Facebook Share on X Share on LinkedIn Send by email Yussef Al Tamimi has been awarded this year's Antonio Cassese Prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis in International Law for his dissertation Law, Identity and Emotions: A Sentimentalist Analysis of Human Rights, which aims to find out what identity means for the leading European human rights court, the European Court of Human Rights. Yussef defended his thesis on 24 May 2021 under the supervision of Professor Martin Scheinin. The Department of Law has instituted this Prize in honour of the outstanding lawyer Antonio Cassese who was among the most distinguished figures in international law and international criminal justice.
