Benjamin Swift is currently studying for PhD in Political Science at University College Dublin. He is currently drafting a PhD monograph entitled 'Democratic Political Legitimacy in the European Union: The ECB and the Conduct of Supranational Monetary Policy in Times of Crisis' outlining a normative theoretical framework to assess and analyse the legitimacy of EU central banking and monetary policy under the direction of the ECB. Benjamin has completed a taught and research masters at Durham University and King's College London respectively. He has experience acting as a Guest Lecturer and Graduate Teaching Assistant for University College Dublin after having undertaken the latter role at King's College London.
