Biography

Etim Offiong is a scientific officer at the African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English (ARCSSTE-E), Nigeria. He heads the GNSS Section and facilitates courses in GNSS and Satellite Communication course options.

Etim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Nigeria; a Master in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) from Politecnico di Torino, Italy; and a Master in International Science and Technology Policy from George Washington University, USA. He is also an alumnus of the International Space University (ISU), France.

He participated in the development of the African Space Policy and Strategy, as well as the validation of the ECOWAS Space Science and Geomatics Strategy. He also facilitates a short course on Space Policy at OAU.

At the EUI School of Transnational Governance, Etim will examine how space activities are governed within the European Union (EU), and EU's approach to global space governance. He will also examine the EU-AU space relations.
