Biography

Manjusha is an environmental specialist and policy strategist from India. As a Policy Leader Fellow at the School of Transnational Governance, EUI, she is engaged into analysing the best EU policies on resource efficiency and waste management in addressing climate mitigation and is aiming to develop policy recommendations for India.

In her professional career of close to a decade and half now, different aspects of climate change, environmental governance and waste and sustainability has been her key interest and engagement areas. She has a demonstrated history of leadership in policy research and advocacy across various Indian think-tanks across these thematic areas.

She has spearheaded ground-breaking work on battery waste, e-waste and bio-medical waste management; microplastics pollution; and climate mitigation action plans, all of which are likely to influence evolving policies. She has several publications to her credit including journal articles, research reports, and policy briefs.

She possesses a Master of Science in Environment Sciences (Calcutta University) and is a doctoral candidate (PhD thesis submitted on health impact of pollution in Kolkata) at Jadavpur University, India. Besides, she is also passionate nature traveller, reader and Indian classical dancer.
