Michael Adu Gyekye is a Right To Information Officer with the Department of Urban Roads in Accra, Ghana. He is mainly responsible for assisting both his organisation and members of the general public to comply with Ghana’s Right To Information Act, 2019 (ACT 989), in processing, and making, requests for information, respectively. Examining the implementation of Ghana’s access to information policy in the context of comparative experiences elsewhere, and drawing lessons for enhanced access to information regimes, especially across the developing world, is the theme of his fellowship. Michael is a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (BA Political Studies). He has contributed to diverse international and youth development and governance programmes and fora through write-ups, panel discussions, and service in executive roles.
