Ongoing teaching and supervision collaboration between the EUI and the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID)

Activities with the IHEID

  • Stefano Guzzini organizes two PhD workshops per academic year in Geneva.
  • In Spring 2024, Stefano Guzzini (EUI) and Christiana Parreira (IHEID) have started organising a joint PhD workshop that is scheduled to meet twice a year, once in Florence (for advanced PhDs) and once in Geneva (for 2nd year PhDs). 
  • Stefano Guzzini is the PhD supervisor of Astrid Pantin-Skjold at the Geneva Graduate Institute.

 

Synergies between the EUI and Graduate Instituted include the organization and teaching by Professor Dinas of a number of courses and workshops

  • Ten EUI scholars recently received research funding for collaborative projects with scholars at the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID) 2023, Read more
  • Seminar on Causal Inference, Spring 2018; Spring 2019; Autumn 2020 (with Andrea Ichino); Autumn 2021; October/November 2021 at the Graduate Institute
  • One-week course on European Politics, September 2019 at the Graduate Institute
  • Workshop on Survey Experiments, taught by Alexandra Hartman and Joe Kendall, available for IHEID students and faculty, Spring 2020
  • Workshop on Field experiments, taught by Jake Bowers, available for IHEID students and faculty, Spring 2020
  • Workshop on Machine learning, taught by Lukas Stroeter, available for IHEID students and faculty, June 2020 & 2021

     

A variety of activities undertaken by Professor Dinas in collaboration with the Swiss Institutions also included the following ones:

  • Organization of the EUI-IHEID-Oxford Graduate Workshop in Florence, December 2019 & 2021
  • Organization of the Zurich-EUI Workshops on Political Norms (together with Daniel Bischof), August 2019 & October 2021
  • Research synergies between the EUI and Graduate Institute faculty, including an open call for common research proposals, May & July 2021

 

Other activities:

  • Review of papers for the Swiss Review of Political Science
  • Evaluation of projects for the Swiss National Science Foundation
  • Communication with the Swiss Embassy in Rome
  • Research collaboration with members of IHEID and other Swiss institutions
  • Hosting visiting scholars from Swiss institutions at the EUI
