Based on her influential book, Vergès explores the need for a multi-dimensional approach to understanding gender discrimination and social inequalities, intertwining feminism with anti-racist, anti-capitalist, and anti-imperialist struggles. She highlights the lasting impact of European colonialism, examines white women's privileges, and challenges the limitations of what she terms "civilizational feminism."
