Online Journals in Economics
Most economics journals in the EUI collection are available online. Full text journals may be accessed directly from the Library Catalogue|. The shelf locations of paper holdings are also indicated.

If an older article is not available online, consult the paper holdings at the Badia Library. A photocopy may be requested for delivery to the Economics Department. Send volume number, year and page range to econlibrary@eui.eu|.
The Paper Journals Collection| is located on the lower (garden) floor of the Badia Library. Journals are shelfmarked with the prefix 'SER'. Current issues of heavily-used journals are in the display area along the windows of the main (entrance-level) floor.
Economics journals are shelved by the first two digits of the classification number and then arranged alphabetically by title.

Readers can search for articles| across multiple journal portals by using these major platforms: Ingenta|, JSTOR|, Springerlink|, Science Direct (Elsevier)| and Sage|.
EconLit| (a component of WebSPIRS) is the most comprehensive bibliograpphical database of scholarly literature in Economics. Access EconLit via this Catalogue link|.
ArticleFirst| is a component of FirstSearch| providing full bibliographical records for academic articles. FirstSearch| also provides chapter-lists (useful for edited works).
Google Scholar| helps locate scholarly documents in PDF and HTML formats, and is compatible with the EUI publications' repository Cadmus| and the new Economists Online| portal (launched by the Nereus Economics Network| in January 2010).
The RePEc database| of economic literature can also be used for bibliography building.

Photocopies of articles that are not available online may be requested for delivery to the Economics Department |from the Badia Library. Send volume number, year and page range to econlibrary@eui.eu|. Check the Catalogue| before placing a request.

The Social Sciences Citation Index| (a component of ISI Web of Knowledge|) facilitates the searching of cited references and – in many cases – access to abstracts.
Users of the Journals Citation Reports component may need to adjust their browser as follows: Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab > Advanced > tick 'Override automatic cookie handling' and 'Always allow session cookies'. Close all browser sessions and re-launch before using.

DOAJ includes sub-categories on Economics| and Statistics|.
The Economist|, The Financial Times, the International Herald Tribune and La Reppublica are available in the Café Common Room at the Villa San Paolo (Economics Department). Copies are also available at the Badia Fiesolana.
A wide range of online newspaper content is available via the Westlaw| and Lexis Nexis| databases.
Copies of The Economist|, The Financial Times and Il Sole 24 Ore are also available at the Badia Library issue desk.
