Today, Palazzo Buontalenti serves as the prestigious headquarters of the European University Institute (EUI)'s Florence School of Transnational Governance (STG). Following the successful completion of the first restoration phase, known as "Lotto 0", an independent section of the building on Via Cavour is now fully operational. This area offers state-of-the-art collaborative study environments, modern offices, and innovative teaching spaces that perfectly respect the historic architecture.
The Florence School of Transnational Governance (STG) operates as a unique global hub, bringing together current and future leaders from politics, civil society, business, and academia to design cross-border policy solutions. Within these vibrant walls, the building reclaims its ancient vocation as a "forge of creativity", serving as a true laboratory for new ideas and a welcoming home for international dialogue and European culture.
