Book Month 2023

On the occasion of this year's Book Month, the EUI Library, in collaboration with the EUI Alumni Association, have launched a series of book presentations on books published by alumni.

During this year's Book Month, the EUI Library and the Alumni Association have co-organised a series of hybrid book presentations on books published by alumni.

In addition, for the past six years, the Library has celebrated Sant Jordi, a Catalan festive day taking place on 23 April that celebrates books and roses. The Library will continue its tradition of celebrating Sant Jordi with dedicated initiatives and events throughout the month of April.

World Book Day, which also takes place on the same date, is a symbolic day for universal literature, as it coincides with the death of three great writers, William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, and the Peruvian Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.

In light of these occasions, on 21 April the EUI Alumni Association conference will be held at the EUI, offering a stimulating exchange on pressing issues with current researchers. In addition, a roundtable will be organised with the EUI Library on how to publish a thesis. During the event, several alumni who have successfully transformed their PhD theses into books will discuss the scientific, contractual, and practical aspects of this process.
