Sant Jordi & World Book Day

Celebrations on 23 April 2022

For the 6th year we celebrated UNESCO’s World Book Day – or Sant Jordi in Catalonia – like the Catalans do: with book recommendations and roses!

Read the blogpost listing all of our initiatives.

In addition to the usual initiatives, this year we recorded our very own audiobook: the first chapters of Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell. Many volunteers from the EUI community read a paragraph and we are able to release the first five chapters. We did it to collect money for the EUI Refugee Initiative in support of the Ukrainian crisis.

Download Chapters 1-5 from this link and donate any amount of money by using PayPal with this link or directly with the email [email protected] Please choose the option "sending to a friend". Thank you!

The EUI Library organised several events over the years:
