Eligibility Criteria:

In addition to the general EUI application criteria, to be eligible for a Dutch EUI grant you must meet the following two eligibility criteria to apply:

1) the minimum academic requirements:

  • you must have successfully obtained a doctoral diploma or Master’s degree;

and

2) the nationality/residence requirements:

  • a) Dutch nationals: must submit a copy of a valid Dutch passport or ID-card (front and back) with your EUI application;

You must reside in the Netherlands and meet the nationality/residence requirements for Dutch student finance as defined by DUO at the time of your EUI application. However, those employed in the Netherlands must be employed for at least one year prior to the EUI application deadline. This also applies to applicants whose partner is employed in the Netherlands.
