If you are an administrative staff, a full-time contract holder, a research fellow or and academic assistant, you are entitled to maternity leave if you are pregnant. You should provide the Human Resources Service with a document drawn up by your doctor with the expected date of childbirth.
You will be entitled to maternity leave starting 6 weeks before that date and ending 14 weeks after the date your baby is born. If you would like to structure your maternity leave differently, see Maternity Leave.
