Question:
My child is starting the first year of primary school before the age of six. What allowance am I entitled to?
Answer:

As soon as your child starts primary school (and is at least five years old), you are no longer eligible for the pre-school allowance; instead you will be entitled to the variable rate education allowance and will have to submit an education declaration to the Human Resources Service.

Please note, this may have a positive or negative impact on your financial entitlements, and any amount unduly paid will be recovered.
