Who is eligible for a pre-school allowance?
Answer:
Administrative staff, full-time professors/assistant professors, retired staff, and under certain conditions part-time professors/assistant professors, research fellows, academic assistants, and academic/administrative associates are entitled to a pre-school allowance for each dependent child under the age of five or for each child who is not yet in regular full-time attendance at a primary school (until the child reaches the age of eight). This allowance is granted automatically on the birth of a child and valid until that child starts attending primary school.
