Daniel Gros invites you to brainstorm the economic fallout of the war in Ukraine and sanctions on the European economy.

The purpose of this seminar is to discuss the economic fallout of the war in Ukraine and sanctions on the European economy. Questions to be addressed in detail include the impact of higher energy prices on the European economy, with particular emphasis on natural gas. How will different Member States be affected? Does the bilateral dependency on Russian gas matter? How to reduce Europe's dependence on imports of Russian gas (and over what time horizon)?

Daniel Gros is a Robert Schuman fellow at the Schuman Centre. He is a Member of the Board and Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels. Prior to joining CEPS, he worked at the IMF and at the European Commission as economic adviser to the Delors Committee that developed the plans for the euro.

Room or Zoom! This seminar is hybrid. Please register to book your spot in the room or receive the Zoom link.

Please note that the seminar will be recorded for subsequent posting online.
