CASIS Workshop: Counterterrorism and Safeguarding in response to Islamic State

This one day workshop, as part of the CASIS project will examine responses to young Islamic State returnees from Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

Bringing together academics and practitioners from the International Crisis Group and major children’s NGOs from across the Mediterranean region, the workshop will critically explore the tensions between security and safeguarding approaches to children and youth seeking to return to their home countries from the Islamic State.
