This sixth webinar in this series will look into digital trade integration in the African continent.

The Digital Trade Integration (DTI) project aims to increase transparency on digital trade restrictions. We are constructing a dataset of digital trade restrictions and an index on digital trade integration, which will be released in the coming months. The methodology is based on international best practices on how to regulate digital trade, leverage the cross-disciplinary exchange between the CIVICA partners.

As part of the DTI project, we have launched a webinar series to feed the methodology of the DTI index. This sixth webinar will look into digital trade integration in the African continent. We will discuss what are the priority areas for digital trade integration from an African perspective, from connectivity to data flows.

The webinar is chaired by Martina F. Ferracane (Max Weber Fellow, EUI) and will benefit from the contributions of four distinguished speakers:

•  Tunde Fafunwa | Kitskoo

•  Torbjörn Fredriksson | UNCTAD

•  Geoffroy Guepie | UN Economic Commission for Africa (UN-ECA)

•  Shamira Ahmed | Research ICT Africa (RIA)

Zoom link will be sent upon registration.
