Join us for a double book presentation as we discuss Fabrizio Tassinari's 'The Pursuit of Governance: Nordic Dispatches on a New Middle Way' and Richard Youngs' 'Rebuilding European Democracy: Resistance and Renewal in an Illiberal Age'.From different perspectives, both books shed light on the predicament and promise of governance and democracy in today's Europe. Tassinari's book gives a deeply personal account of the author's experience living and working in public policy in Europe's North, and the wide-range of lessons he drew from that. Youngs' book, on the other hand, draws on his decade-long research to explain the erosion of democracy in Europe, and how institutions and citizens are pushing back.Discussants:Alexander Stubb, Director, STG, EUIFabrizio Tassinari, Executive Director, STG, EUIRichard Youngs, Senior Fellow, Carnegie EuropePhilip Stephens, Visiting Fellow, STG, EUI, and contributing editor, Financial TimesKalypso Nicolaidis, Professor, STG, EUI Related events Read more Webinar 21 Apr 2022 17:30 - 19:00 CEST Online, Webinar Florence School of Transnational Governance War in Europe: Is the EU fit to fight for peace?
