Join an engaging and thought-provoking workshop exploring the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and decision-making across legal, economic, political, and societal domains. As AI systems increasingly shape our world, they raise profound questions about free will, human autonomy, and the ethical implications of algorithmic decision-making.How do we balance the efficiency of AI with the nuanced, value-driven judgments that define human reasoning? To address these epistemological, ethical, and social challenges, we propose the establishment of a multidisciplinary intellectual community focused on 'Free will: AI & decision-making' (AI&DM). This initiative will start with the one-and-a-half-day workshop, hosted by the Max Weber Programme. The workshop brings together experts from diverse fields - law, sociology, philosophy, computer science, and more - to foster a multidisciplinary dialogue. It offers a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge ideas and connect with a vibrant intellectual community.
