PeaceTech Toolkit for Peacebuilding in the 21st Century

This session , organised as part of the Global PeaceTech Conference 2022, will show how digital technologies can be used effectively to promote peace in polarised contexts.

In this workshop, Peace Tech Lab, Build Up, and Pollicy will present concrete examples drawn from the yearly experience in PeaceTech on how digital technologies can be used effectively to promote peace in polarised contexts.

In particular Build Up will share lessons learned as well as examples of interventions designed to tackle polarisation online and to rehumanise relationships in the digital public sphere from Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan. Build Up will also introduce its in-house methodology and approach to listening and analysing social media, which represents the first step for the effective design of peacebuilding initiatives online.
