First EUI PhD Workshop

The EUI's Department of Economics hosts a PhD workshop, which will allow for the exchange of ideas between EUI PhD researchers and their external peers with the aim of fostering scientific cooperation across institutions.

On 20 and 21 June, the EUI Department of Economics will hold the first EUI ECO PhD Workshop in Villa la Fonte. Twelve external PhD researchers, both from Europe and the U.S, will present their current work related to the workshop’s theme of "Social Mobility and Inequality". Presentations will cover papers targeting the issue in a diverse way, using insights from Macro and Applied Micro.

The half-day event will allow for the exchange of ideas between EUI PhD researchers and their external peers with the aim of fostering scientific cooperation across institutions. The workshop is accompanied by a keynote speech of faculty member, Alexander Monge-Naranjo, titled "On Cities and Slums". We encourage the attendance of all EUI members interested in the topic.
