This means, we now have three sources of fundamental rights in Europe (national constitutions, the European Convention on Human Rights and EU law). In this workshop, we aim to discuss the implications of this development together with Professor Elise Muir, principle investigator of the RESHUFFLE Project (ERC) on EU fundamental rights protection, and two of her PhD researchers, Lucia van der Meulen (working on EU fundamental rights litigation and the use by national courts of preliminary rulings) and Victor Davio (working on the influence of EU Fundamental Rights Standards on the Strasbourg Case-Law).
