This event will introduce the ECB Banking Supervision's Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (SREP), its methodology, tools, and results.
The European Central Bank (ECB) recently published the results of its Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (SREP) for 2022. The SREP provides an assessment of the risks faced by significant institutions, together with the resulting mitigating measures such as capital requirements and other supervisory measures. In this seminar, Federico Pierobon, Emanuela Branca (ECB) and Jacqueline Mills (AFME - Association for Financial Markets in Europe) will examine the methodology leading to bank-specific capital requirements, known as Pillar 2, as well as the broader supervisory actions that can be adopted by the ECB through SREP decisions and will finish with a review of the 2022 results.
