Organised by

The Migration Winter Academy aims to provide deep and rich insight into the dynamics of global protection while looking closely at gaps, tendencies to crisis and assessing institutional strengths and weaknesses on a global scale.

The Migration Winter Academy’s intended outcomes for participants are to:

-draw from the substantial research and evidence base on forced migration to enable the application of

theory to practice;

-enhance the learning experience of participants through interactive activities;

enable the development of evaluative and analytical skills;

-create an immersive learning environment within which a variety of methods of teaching and learning are

employed;

-enable participants to apply lessons from the Winter Academy to their own professional work.

This event was partially funded by the Widening Europe Programme. The EUI Widening Europe Programme initiative, backed by contributions from the European Union and EUI Contracting States, is designed to strengthen internationalisation, competitiveness, and quality in research in the so-called Widening countries, and thus foster a more cohesive European Higher Education and Research area.
