The Digital Trade Integration project aims to shed light on the regulatory policies related to digital trade, from restrictive regulations on data flows, online payments and IPRs, to enabling policies ensuring consumer protection online. One of the outputs of the project is an open-access repository of regulatory policies that offers an overview of the regulatory environment in 125 economies across 65 different policy indicators. Another output, which is not public yet, is an index that summarises the information in the dataset. This seminar aims to show how these tools can support empirical research providing much-needed evidence on the impact of new regulatory policies, with the final objective of identifying good policy practices that can support trade and regional integration.
