During this conference, Professor Liesbet Hooghe, Professor Gary Marks, and Research Fellow Jonne Kamphorst from the Transnational project of the Global Governance Programme, will assemble a distinguished gathering of scholars. The exploration of societal cleavages has seen a surge in interest and exploration in recent years, reflecting the ever-evolving landscape of global politics and making this an opportune moment to undertake a critical evaluation of this approach. Hence, this conference provides a unique platform for scholars to delve into the complexities of these cleavages, offering critical insights essential for understanding the challenges and dynamics of modern governance.
