Accounting for performance in social progress (as measured by the Social Progress Index) and for the extent of environmental damage, the Just Transition Score provides insights on environmental sustainability of societal wellbeing. The assessment shows that there are substantial differences in the way countries achieve their social progress which occur mainly due to disparities in availability of resources and heterogeneity in consumption patterns. The JTS can therefore be useful not only to provide a general picture based on the social and environmental context, but also to allow comparisons between different regions and countries, and eventually identify those that are the most or the least sustainable.Speakers:Petra Krylova, Global Research Director, Social Progress Imperative, and alumna, EUI School of Transnational GovernanceJaromir Harmacek, Deputy Research Director, Social Progress Imperative, and Associate Professor, Palacky University OlomoucMohamed Htitich, Research Associate, Social Progress Imperative, and PhD candidate, Palacky University Olomouc Related events Read more Workshop 24 Nov 2023 09:30 - 18:00 CET Sala degli Stemmi, Villa Salviati - Castle Workshop Department of Economics The use of pesticides in agriculture
