In this workshop, Sarah Tas, Natalia Menéndez González and Maria Magierska will hold an informal conversation on various ways and means of doing empirical work in the public sphere, drawing on their own experiences and current and past research initiatives. The event aims to provide practical guidance to researchers who are about to engage with empirical methods for their projects, such as through interviews and internships. The speakers will focus on best practices and spotlight any obstacles that researchers may face in preparation for, during, and after empirical work. The workshop is designed to be informal and interactive – our speakers are happy to answer questions about any aspect of gathering, evaluating, and implementing empirical material for written (legal) texts.
