Incoming PhD researchers in the EUI Department of History are invited to join this year's Inaugural Workshop.

The Inaugural Workshop is a first chance to meet colleagues in the department and start talking about research. The two-day programme begins with an introductory session and social hour, followed by sessions in which first-year researchers and professors meet in panels to briefly present their research topics. The second day concludes with a workshop discussion on the changing landscape of digital information, followed by the Inaugural Lecture.

Following the programme, on Friday 27 September, Professor Ruth Harris (University of Oxford), will deliver this year's lecture 'Oriental Christ: What India did with Jesus and Why it is Important.'

Please note that members of other researcher cohorts and visitors to the Department may also be present and take part in discussions, and are especially invited to the introductory session (Thursday am) and inaugural lecture (Friday pm).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WORKSHOP ON THE 26TH WILL BEGIN AT 10:30 AM
