The Track 1.5 Dialogue offers a unique platform for policymakers, academics, business leaders, and civil society representatives from the EU and Indonesia to exchange ideas and explore collaborative opportunities.

The Track 1.5 Dialogue aims to strengthen EU-Indonesia relations by supporting and complementing existing official government channels (Track 1 diplomacy). This event will bring together representatives from key Ministries, academia, the business community, and civil society to foster dialogue and mutual understanding.

Over two days, participants will engage in an informal yet intellectually open setting to explore areas of convergence and divergence, contributing to a deeper and more nuanced policy discourse.

Discussion topics include:

  • Global security challenges: Examining international security within the evolving global order;
  • Indo-Pacific vs. Asia Pacific: Understanding the geopolitical and geo-economic dynamics;
  • The future of international economics: Exploring opportunities to enhance EU-Indonesia ties;
  • Reforming the global order: Assessing the potential for Indonesia and Europe to play a bridging role.
