The purpose of the Academic Forum on Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) is to provide a space for academics active in this field to exchange views, explore key issues and potential solutions, test ideas, and contribute constructively to ongoing discussions on possible ISDS reform. In particular, the forum engages with discussions within the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law’s (UNCITRAL) Working Group III. The Compliance Politics of International Investment Law (COPIID) project is a research initiative funded by the Norwegian Research Council, which is supporting this event.
