The workshop will feature three thematic panels, each reflecting the expertise and perspectives of the invited guest speakers. We will discuss how to write state-of-the-art environmental history and share ideas on integrating its themes into broader historical inquiries. Over the spring and summer term of 2025, the Working Group has functioned as a reading group delving into diverse readings and approaches within the field. Building on those discussions, this workshop will offer a glimpse into future topics and directions for the group, setting the stage for upcoming events and meetings. Going forward, the working group hopes to discuss and inspire how environmental history can enrich and intersect with EUI researchers’ topics. Please register to get a seat or to receive the ZOOM link.
