Early capitalisms and the textile sector (1650-1850)

This workshop is jointly organised by Léa Meyer (Université de Genève) and Freek Loves (EUI), with contributions from the The Fabric of Profit (Université de Genève) and CAPASIA - The Asian Origins of Global Capitalism (EUI) research projects.

On the occasion of Professor Mary O’Sullivan’s (Université de Genève) visit to the EUI, a one-day workshop will take place on Wednesday, 5 March, in Villa Salviati’s Sala del Camino. The event will bring together researchers from the EUI and Université de Genève whose projects address the developments of early capitalism and the textile sector from global perspectives.
