Join U-LEAD as a research coach, a collaboration between the Migration Policy Centre and UNICEF that brings together unaccompanied minors, young refugees, and local high school students to conduct participatory research on issues that matter to them.

Join us for a week of mentorship, research, and community engagement. The U-LEAD project offers EUI researchers, students, fellows, and staff the opportunity to become Research Coaches, guiding young people in participatory research and advocacy. Throughout the week, you will support youth—including local high school students and unaccompanied minors—as they design and conduct research, facilitate discussions, and transform their findings into advocacy presentations. This is a unique chance to develop leadership, mentoring, and facilitation skills while making a meaningful impact in your local community.

A commitment to the full programme (9–13 June) and B1/B2-level Italian are required. Prior training will be provided, and participants will receive a certificate.

Learn more about the roles, responsibilities, and requirements to become a volunteer. Deadline to apply is Friday 11 April 2025.
