Organised by

Join Gideon Rose, former Editor of Foreign Affairs, for a seminar on bridging the gap between academic and non-academic publishing.

Join Gideon Rose –who was managing editor and editor of Foreign Affairs from 2000-2021– for insights on how to translate complex ideas in politics and international relations into effective and engaging analysis for politicians, policymakers, and leaders in the world of civil society and business.

Gideon Rose has a PhD from Harvard and has taught at Princeton and Columbia. He has published academic articles in World Politics and International Security. Beyond the academy, Dr Rose has served on the National Security Council under the Clinton Administration, filled editorial roles at The National Interest and The Public Interest, and published a major book on How Wars End (Simon & Schuster, 2010). Anyone interested in how to bridge academic and non-academic publishing is encouraged to attend.

This event is in cooperation with the American Academy in Berlin.
