Rationale
The meeting will seek to gather inputs from civil society organisations and research community on the potential elements to be included in the forthcoming International Digital Strategy, including on the EU Tech Offer to partner countries.
Guiding Questions
1. With which partners should the EU focus its engagement going forward? Which regions should the EU deepen existing digital partnerships, and in which regions should it look for new partners?
2. How can the EU best position itself in the multilateral work on digital, including digital governance, going forward? Which values and principles should it push for?
3. What is the role of the EU’s Digital Diplomacy in the years to come, and how to better promote digital projects under the Global Gateway?
4. What should be the key elements of an EU Tech Offer to partner countries? What is the EU’s value added compared to other global actors? Which of the policy tools and mechanisms are particularly suitable or need to be adjusted to be fit for purpose?
5. How can the EU engage more effectively with civil society organisations and research community to shape the development and implementation of the EU’s Tech Offer?
