Bringing together Europe’s higher education community to shape the future of a joint European label and possible degree. Organised in partnership with the European Commission, the Forum gathers voices from across Europe’s higher education landscape.
Over two days, participants will reflect on the progress made so far, examine the value of a shared European academic credential, and consider the next steps toward its realisation. The programme blends high-level plenary sessions with focused technical discussions, offering space for both strategic vision and practical problem-solving.
Speakers include political leaders, national representatives, academics, students, institutional staff, stakeholder organisations, and private sector contributors. Together, they will explore successful joint programmes, address remaining challenges, and discuss how to make European higher education more inclusive, accessible, and attractive to global talent and industry.
A key outcome of the Forum will be the Florence Pledge a collective commitment from all actors to continue advancing toward a possible joint European degree.
Details on the programme and speaker lineup will be published soon.
Participation is upon invitation only. More information can be found on the website of the European Commission. A livestream will be available on the Commission's dedicated webpage and the EUI Youtube channel (streaming Day 1, Day 2).
This event is associated with the EUI 50th anniversary celebrations.
