On July 5th is the tenth anniversary of the 2015 referendum in Greece. The outcome of the referendum - a 60% No vote – thus rejecting further austerity demands from the Troika of international creditors, challenged the foundations of the euro zone. For the first time, the possibility of a member state leaving the single currency appeared as a political possibility.
What were the implications from that event and what its consequences - for Greece and the euro area? A decade later we want to look back at this defining moment and consider lessons learned for today's challenges in the euro area.
