With Professor Davide Viviano (Harvard University), this course focuses on theory and practice of causal inference.

The course will cover recent advances in causal inference. The course is structured in three classes that will cover:

  • Potential outcomes, DAGs, negative controls, proximal methods, causal discovery, causal inference with remotely sensed data (e.g., satellite or text data)
  • Machine learning for heterogeneous treatment effects, evidence aggregation for policy evaluation and policy learning
