The Florence School of Transnational Governance is delighted to welcome Executive Vice-President Ribera, who will deliver a keynote address. The event will be opened by EUI Provost for Research and External Relations Giacomo Calzolari and STG Executive Director Fabrizio Tassinari.

Alongside to Executive Vice-President's intervention, the programme will feature a panel discussion with members of the Florence School of Transnational Governance, and welcome questions from the broader EUI community and the public.

The event marks the fourth instalment of the Giorgio La Pira Lecture, following the previous editions with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, former Italian Prime Minister and former European Commission President Romano Prodi, and the intervention of Sir Mohammed Ibrahim.

Organised in partnership with Fondazione CR Firenze, the lecture aims to build bridges between Europe and other continents. It is named after Giorgio La Pira, the visionary mayor of Florence and tireless advocate for peace, social justice, and dialogue among civilisations.
