The digital world faces mounting challenges—from data exploitation and misinformation to algorithmic inequity and infrastructural fragility—that demand critical intervention. Yet, the central question remains: who should bear the cost of fixing the digital world? This webinar invites the audience to reflect on the political economy of today’s digital world. Drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives from media studies, economics, and digital governance, the discussion will examine current models of regulation, corporate responsibility, and public investment. Ultimately, the session aims to foster a scholarly dialogue on the structural dimensions of sustaining a just and resilient digital ecosystem—one that aligns with equity and business innovation. Our speakers will facilitate critical conversations on the current debate surrounding this topical issue and invite the participants to reflect on the trajectory of the digital world. Register
