An interactive session for alumni of the STG Fellowships focused on identifying and leveraging individual strengths to enhance leadership effectiveness and professional satisfaction. This session is designed for current and aspiring people and thought leaders.
Understanding and using one’s strengths is a powerful driver of effectiveness, confidence, and fulfilment in leadership. Yet many of us are not fully aware of what our strengths are, or we may not be leveraging them to their full potential in our current professional environments.
This webinar offers alumni of the STG Fellowships, namely the Policy Leader Fellowships (PLF) and the Young African Leaders Programme (YALP), an opportunity to reflect on their individual strengths and explore how to translate these insights into their daily professional practice.
Through guided reflection and discussion, participants will gain a clearer understanding of their unique capabilities and how they can better harness them in leadership contexts. The session is designed to be dynamic and participatory, creating space for alumni from both fellowships to connect, exchange experiences, and learn from one another across cohorts.
Session objectives:
Identify your strengths: through guided reflection, participants will clarify their individual strengths and develop a sharper sense of their unique capabilities.
Leverage strengths in leadership: participants will explore how to harness their strengths as leaders and integrate them into their professional environments.

The session will combine short inputs from the facilitator with individual reflection and discussion opportunities. Alumni will be encouraged to share experiences, insights, and challenges in a supportive peer-learning environment that brings together former PLF and YALP fellows.
