In this session, we will explore some of the Git and GitHub features to support research collaboration. Participants will learn how to effectively collaborate with multiple contributors and maintain a clean project history. This session is ideal for researchers with a foundational understanding of Git and GitHub who want to enhance their collaborative workflows.

Covered topics
  • Adding collaborators to your repository
  • Work safely together and in parallel
  • Manage conflicts (what if you and your collaborators rewrite the same paragraph or piece of code?)
  • Safeguard the "main" line of work by reviewing other's contributions
