How would you say the Policy Leader Fellowship helped you professionally?

The Policy Leader Fellowship at the STG has been instrumental, in shaping me as a person. I say this for two reasons.

One, it provided the right intellectual atmosphere where I got to meet people from various walks of life, not just from the climate and energy space that I represent, but across, various fields of politics, human rights and sustainable development. I used a lot of these ideas to conceptualise my company and to do what I'm doing today.

I think the bringing together of this diversity was crucial in opening my mind away from the narrow boundaries of my existence and opening to wider possibilities.

The result of the three months of the Policy Leader Fellowship is the company that I founded and now run, Climate Dot foundation. It was born mainly because of the beautiful months that were given to me to be creative, to be free, to be open minded in coming up with what is really important for the world.

It was the best thing that ever happened to me in my life.

How has the network that you found at the EUI helped you?

One of the main strengths of the Policy Leader Fellowship is the network. It forms an intellectual magic which led to forming and getting ideas from different people, from different walks of life. I think this network of diversity is so crucial and is something that we lack in most institutions today. I think the STG and the EUI are an exception.

What advice would you give to current and future EUI-ers?

My advice to current and future EUI students and researchers would be to treasure this experience and meet as many people as possible. The EUI is a great place to meet different people from different backgrounds.
