#EUIResearchJam: a year of research in review

With #EUIResearchJam, the EUI presents a short documentary featuring a year of research in review. It unites the voices of doctoral researchers, fellows, and professors in a living chorus, or interdisciplinary ‘band’, tackling questions with global impact.

Divided into three main areas, first, a compilation from #MyEUIResearch sheds light on the experiences of EUI doctoral researchers and fellows, delving into their personal and intellectual journeys, as well as the societal impact of their work. Secondly, candid takes from #EUIUpFront brings together EUI scholars to discuss the hottest topics of our time, from diverse angles, perspectives, and disciplines. Finally, clips from #EUIResearch highlights publications, findings, and insights from faculty and senior researchers from across the EUI’s academic units.

All of this is tied together with interviews with academics of all career levels from across the EUI, who responded to a simple, yet profound question: What is EUI Research for you? This invitation allows for diverse voices across the EUI to emerge, sparking a rich dialogue with unique insights and experiences.

These perspectives weave together into a vibrant chorus that captures the complexity and richness of life at the EUI. Framed through the metaphor of a band, #EUIResearchJam explores how diverse voices generate an intellectual polyphony, where harmony is found in complexity and shared purpose emerges from diversity. It aims to show the EUI as a space for creativity and collaboration, where something new can emerge from spontaneous interaction.

Notably, #EUIResearchJam features the EUI band Dogma & Friends, part of the Mojo Music Club, which brings together EUI researchers through music.
