Ahead of the European Elections, the Democratic Odyssey is pushing for deliberative democracy to have a more prominent place on the EU political stage. The turnover of the Parliament is the perfect occasion to ask the candidates from all parties across the continent: (how) does your program aim to enhance deliberative democracy across Europe and how?
With this goal in mind the DO core team sailed to the European Parliament, together with consortium members from the Young European Federalists Strasbourg, to interview MEPs ahead of the June vote. In this rolling series of interviews, we will be showcasing how the candidates understand citizen participation, and how they situate it alongside other political priorities of our time.
