Bringing together members of the EUI community from the last fifty years, on 16 October 2025 the EUI's first Alumni Chapter was inaugurated at the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) in Brussels. As the EUI looks back on its history so far, this event highlighted the fundamental role that its alumni play in the establishment and preservation of the EUI's mission.

“You are not merely graduates of our programmes,” EUI President Nanz stated at the opening, "but living ambassadors of our European mission, carrying forward the transformative experience of this place into every corner of the continent and beyond.”

This event, hosting over 120 guests, brought together members of the EUI community both past and present for an evening of exchange, networking, and collaboration.

To help strengthen this alumni network, the EUI's Development and External Relations team has established the Institute's first official alumni LinkedIn page, dedicated to upcoming alumni events, networking opportunities, and EUI-wide news.

One of the key news items to share with the EUI's alumni network is the events associated with the Institute's 50th anniversary celebrations taking place in May 2026: the Institute warmly invites its alumni to celebrate the next chapter together.

Looking ahead, the EUI's comprehensive alumni strategy will include an alumni mapping project as well as a series of upcoming gatherings, the next event taking place in London.

EUI alumni are warmly encouraged to follow the new dedicated EUI alumni LinkedIn page, found here.
